The Yiddish alphabet is the key to the world of Yiddish language, culture and literature. In this 3-day intensive course with Janina Wurbs you’ll learn the basics of the Yiddish alphabet in both block and writing scripts.

This year we will once again use the Yiddish alphabet textbook Der Alef-Beys – Trit bay Trit by Karin Weiss, Dorothea Greve and Smadar Raveh-Klemke, which can be purchased during Yiddish Summer at the Info-Point.

Please note: a minimum of 3 students is required in this workshop. The registration deadline for reaching that number is July 1st. If the minimum number has been met by July 1st, registration will remain open. otherwise this workshop will not be offered.
